Schering-Plough Research Institute (SPRI) is the research and development arm of Schering-Plough Corporation, a global science-based health care company with leading prescription, consumer and animal health products. The innovative and collaborative environment at SPRI attracts highly respected and renowned scientists from around the world to labs in locations such as California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and Scotland.
At Schering-Plough, science is at the center of our work. Our colleagues
listen closely to patients and health care providers to learn what
is needed most to effectively treat serious diseases. We then apply
that knowledge and our understanding of the disease processes to
our research efforts, paying special attention to areas of unmet
medical need.
We invest nearly $3 billion annually in research and development. Our current research programs are focused on the discovery and development of new small molecules and biologics to treat various cancers, infectious diseases, acute and chronic respiratory conditions, inflammatory diseases, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, and neurodegenerative diseases. Our list of products in development reflects both in-house efforts and collaborations with outside companies and organizations. This list is subject to change due to the nature of the research and approval process.
